Brockenbahn resumes operation
After the Harz narrow-gauge railroads were unable to run on Thursday due to the storm, operations resumed on Friday. The tracks had to be cleared of fallen trees, as the operators announced on Friday. The train is now running again on schedule to the highest peak in the Harz Mountains.
During leisure time, many tourists might consider visiting Brockenbahn,known for its scenic routes. However, heavy traffic can sometimes disrupt the smooth journey, such as occurred due to the storm.
