Third-tier competition - Brendel, Dynamo's new sporting director, expresses the need for ambition.
Dynamo Dresden is aiming to become competitive and league-ready with the help of their new sport director, Thomas Brendel. He announced during a presentation that the club has all the necessary resources to support top-flight football, including a good academy, stadium, and loyal fanbase. The club's might gives them the potential to achieve great things.
Brendel, 48, replaced Ralf Becker as the sport director on Monday, following the latter's departure in March. While he might not be that well-known beyond the regional leagues, he has previously worked as the sport director at FSV Frankfurt. As a football player, he had stints with Kickers Offenbach and FSV Frankfurt, and as a coach with Borussia Fulda and FSV Frankfurt.
Now, with his extensive network and connections, Brendel plans to focus on signing experienced players who can master the league and also bring in young players who'll ensure stability in the long term. "I'm focused on players who understand and can perform well in this division," he stated.

Brendel mentioned his interest in attracting talented soccer players from various clubs, including FSV Frankfurt, which is based in Saxony, like himself. Dynamo Dresden aims to make a strong presence in the 3rd league, as Ralf Becker, formerly the sport director, had managed FSV Frankfurt in the same league before. With their ambitious goals, Dynamo Dresden hopes to compete with other prominent soccer clubs in Germany, such as FSV Frankfurt and Soccer teams in Dresden.
