ArcelorMittal intends to swap out a blast furnace in Bremen and one in Eisenhüttenstadt (Brandenburg) by 2030. In Bremen, they'll erect a direct reduction plant and an electrolytic furnace. These new additions are estimated to run on green hydrogen.
