- Breier quits as Hansa team manager

Long-serving striker Pascal Breier has ended his new role as team manager of Hansa Rostock after just a few weeks. The third-division football club announced this on Tuesday.

The 32-year-old cited family reasons for this decision. "My wife and my two young daughters need their husband and father by their side. Unfortunately, this is not compatible with the demanding tasks of a team manager, who should be there for the team around the clock," said Breier.

The native Swabian played for the Rostock team from January 2018 to August 2023 and returned to the relegated second-division team this summer after a year with VfB Lübeck. The FC Hansa will soon fill the position of team manager again, according to the club's statement.

Breier's departure as team manager marked the end of his tenure with the Third League club, Hansa Rostock. The search for a new manager to lead the team in the Third League commenced following his departure.
