In a break-in at a municipal building in the city of Worms overnight on Wednesday, a liquid was released. The perpetrator(s) forced open a cabinet and tampered with cash machines to steal money inside. Among other things, the building houses the city's citizen service office, which is now only operating on a limited basis.
Additionally, an unknown liquid was released, "which emitted a strong odor." The fire department, according to police reports, took samples of the substance.
