Thousands of fans came to Wolfsburg for the Fanfest. According to the organizers, around 1,000 fans of the sporty Golf model traveled in their own Golf GTI and presented their vehicles next to the Volkswagen arena.

VW moved the meeting to Wolfsburg from the previously cancelled venue at Wörthersee. The conclusion is planned for Sunday with a car parade across the VW works area, featuring around 200 cars.

The brawl at the GTI-Fanfest in Wolfsburg escalated to a point of "mutual bodily harm," as reported by the Lower Saxony police.
