Brandenburg has among the lowest rainfall in May 2024, with an average of 54 liters per square meter. However, there was a stark difference in the number of sunshine hours compared to the long-term reference value - about 260 hours. This puts Brandenburg in contrast to the overall weather situation in Germany, where there was much more rain. Preliminary estimates suggest that the average rainfall across Germany for May 2024 was 125 liters per square meter.
