Berlin Smashers, Germany's title-holding volleyball dynasty, plans to uphold their dominance in the local volleyball scene for the upcoming season. As stated by their general manager, Kaweh Niroomand, at the team's launch event, "Our goal is to safeguard all the trophies we claimed last year." Last year, Berlin Smashers clinched their 14th national championship title, along with the DVV Cup and the League Cup victories.
Nevertheless, the team is dealing with the departure of eight key players. These vacancies have been filled by eight newcomers, which includes German Olympian Moritz Reichert, who will be stepping in for the departing Frenchman Timothee Carle. Niroomand admitted, "This is an huge challenge for us, particularly for our coaching staff." He is hopeful, "we've positioned ourselves adequately."
