An 11-year-old boy was thrown out of a ride at the Hamburger Dom and sustained minor injuries. The incident occurred during a fast carousel ride on the ground in a circle, according to police, on July 28. "During the ride, the boy was thrown out of the ride over the safety bar," said a police spokesman. The "Mopo" had previously reported on this.

"The boy had various scrapes all over his body," the police spokesman reported further. In the course of events, the child struck a 77-year-old on the leg. Both were treated in an ambulance. "The 11-year-old was taken to a hospital for further treatment."

According to police, no defects were found on the "Action" ride on the Heiligengeistfeld. According to the economic authority, operations were initially suspended and re-inspected by TÜV. No malfunction could be found, and operations have since resumed. Investigations into the cause of the accident are still ongoing, a spokesman said.

The 77-year-old person who was struck by the boy was taken to the hospital for precautionary measures. Following the incident, the police increased their presence at the Hamburger Dom to ensure the safety of the visitors.
