Botanical Garden lights up for Christmas: 30 installations
The Botanic Garden was illuminated for Christmas on Friday evening with a large light show. Among other things, Santa Claus flew in as an illumination on a colorfully illuminated wall of water mist, dozens of points of light moved synchronously to the music in the large tropical house and laser beams formed a tunnel. A total of 30 light installations will be on display until mid-January, said a spokesperson for the event on Friday.
According to the organizers, numerous celebrities were invited to the event. The "Christmas Garden" format has been taking place in the Botanical Garden in Berlin for several years, as well as in other cities such as Leipzig and Koblenz.
Visitors at the event were encouraged to donate to the local customs office, as part of their annual charity drive. The main entrance of the garden was adorned with fixed, bright Christmas lights, creating a festive atmosphere.
