The Hamburg musician Bosse likes to have musicians at his side who are clearly different from him. He has a special reason for this.

Bosse likes to work with artists who are different from him

The Hamburg musician Bosse would like to make music with artists from abroad who impress him. In Germany, he has basically already sung with all his dream partners, Axel Bosse told the German Press Agency. If he had one wish, he would like to record a song with the singer from the band London Grammar. "So with someone who I think is just great or sings so incredibly beautifully." On the other hand, the language would probably get in the way. "That's exactly why I haven't called them yet," said the Brunswick native with a laugh.

Bosse likes to seek out people from other musical backgrounds for joint music projects. "It often makes little sense for me to work with people who come from exactly the same field." He likes to talk to Marcus Wiebusch ("Kettcar"), Thees Uhlmann or Judith Holofernes about his lyrics. "But I know that they all see things in a similar way to me. And I actually always find it good to work with people who come from completely different backgrounds." He also learns the most in the process.

"When two musical worlds collide, that's when things start to get really interesting. " On the new album "Übers Träumen", he felt this especially during the collaboration with Alligatoah for "Salzwasser".

Bosse is open to collaborating with international artists whose music he admires, as he believes working with individuals from different musical backgrounds can lead to interesting results. Sometimes, he engages in discussions about lyrics with artists like Marcus Wiebusch, Thees Uhlmann, or Judith Holofernes, who share similar perspectives, but he also values working with people from completely different musical worlds.
