The Interior Minister of Hesse, Roman Poseck (CDU), and the Federal Interior Minister, Nancy Faeser (SPD), recently provided disaster response resources to Hessian emergency teams. Poseck, speaking from the Hessian Interior Ministry in Wetzlar, stated, "The ongoing flood situation in Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg serves as a reminder of the importance of having a well-prepared emergency response system."

"We must be equipped with the best available tools to ensure the safety and timely assistance of our citizens in emergency situations," Faeser said in a similar statement. "This is why we're making top-of-the-line tools available to the states. Our equipment is critical in saving lives during emergencies."

In response, several districts received a total of seven container-style vehicles designed specifically for use during strong wind and storm events from the state. These are known as "roll-off storm containers." Additionally, twelve ambulances from the federal government were distributed to disaster response units in Darmstadt-Dieburg, Fulda, Gießen, and Kassel, as well as in Frankfurt am Main, Darmstadt, and Kassel.
