Bonn University's pro-Palestinian blockade comes to an end.

Supporters of Palestine have camped in front of the main structure at the University of Bonn for a few weeks. Law enforcement officials terminated the obstruction of a university entryway after five hours.

Conflict in the Middle East - Bonn University's pro-Palestinian blockade comes to an end.

On Wednesday, the Bonn police tackled the issue of pro-Palestinian protesters blocking an entrance to the main building at the university. Around 30 demonstrators, some wearing masks, caused obstruction for approximately five hours with barriers. They even managed to reach a balcony above. The main building has multiple entry points.

As per the police, an order to disperse was announced and the protest was brought to an end. The identities of the protestors were recorded. According to a police spokesperson, the situation remained calm throughout. Approximately 50 to 70 pro-Palestinian demonstrators held another rally at a different end of the main building. Additionally, a separate protest in support of Israel was reported by police at a certain distance as well.

Since May 7, a protest encampment with tents has been established in Bonn's Hofgarten, as part of a pro-Palestinian movement. A statement released by a student group lists the creation of study spaces for students from Gaza as one of their key demands.
