Bomb threats against schools in the district of Verden
There were several bomb threats against schools in the district of Verden on Thursday. The institutions received threatening phone calls one after the other in the morning, as the police announced on Thursday afternoon. However, there was no danger.
The suspected perpetrator, a 47-year-old man, was quickly identified. He was arrested. It quickly became clear that the threats were not meant seriously. The schools were therefore not evacuated. No bombs were found during searches, it was reported. It was not initially clear why the suspect threatened the schools.
Despite the bomb threats against schools, no harmful actions were carried out. Fortunately, the handling of such situations in schools is thoroughly planned, ensuring a safe learning environment despite the crime-related incident.
