Bomb threat at Frankfurt school: man arrested
There was a bomb threat at a school in Frankfurt am Main on Tuesday. A man was arrested in the entrance area of the Helmholtz School in the afternoon, a police spokesman said. The building was searched, including with dogs. However, nothing was found.
The bomb threat was received by the school at around 4.30 p.m. and a suspicious man was spotted. Pupils and teachers were still in the building at the time, said the spokesperson. They had left the school. The man arrested was a young man. According to the spokesman, he is to be admitted to a psychiatric clinic.
The police investigation into the bomb threat at the Helmholtz School in RHEIN-MAIN region revealed that similar emergency situations have occurred in other Frankfurt schools recently. The arrested man, a young individual, has a history of making false bomb threats, which often led to school closures and disruptions.
