Wired bottles - Bomb robot searches apartment building - police find dead body
Due to possible explosive hazards, the house of a 52-year-old man in Muncheberg was searched by the Criminal Police (LKA) on Friday with a bomb robot. Instead of explosives, the response team eventually found a deceased person, as the police reported. Previously, the "Markische Oderzeitung" had reported. The officers were called to the house by a concerned relative of the man around Friday afternoon, who had not seen him for several weeks.
The response team could identify several bottles with wires attached to them through the windows of the house and called the LKA. Five adjacent residential buildings were evacuated.
After searching the house, including with the robot, there was an all-clear. The contents of the bottles turned out to be harmless, according to police reports. Initially, it was unclear what exactly was involved. The police recovered a deceased person from the house. It remained unclear whether it was the 52-year-old man. In the evening, the evacuation order could be lifted.
