Düsseldorf - Body in barrel: Public search for 58-year-old man
Following the discovery of the decomposed body of a woman on a balcony in Düsseldorf, the police are publicly searching for the missing owner of the apartment. It is 58-year-old Ralf S., the authorities announced on Wednesday.
A week ago, the police carried out a routine operation for trespassing and discovered an airtight plastic barrel containing the body on the man's balcony. The deceased was a 36-year-old Bulgarian woman.
During the autopsy of the body, traces of violence were discovered. The 58-year-old had been in a relationship with the deceased. The homicide squad has been searching for him since then on suspicion of murder.
Following indications of drug use, the police had looked around the apartment. They then made the gruesome discovery on the balcony when they opened the mash tun.
