A passer-by has discovered a lifeless person in a branch of the Oder in Frankfurt (Oder). The emergency services recovered the body of a woman from the river and confirmed her death, as the police announced on Monday.

According to initial findings, it was a 51-year-old woman from Frankfurt (Oder). The deceased was fully clothed when she was found on Saturday afternoon. According to the police, she had been reported missing in Poland. The cause of death was initially unclear. It is being investigated in all directions, they said.
