In Krummwisch (Rendsburg-Eckernförde district), a tragic incident occurred when a house caught fire, causing the death of its 68-year-old occupant. The police reported this news on Monday. Neighbors called the fire department on Sunday morning around 4:40 a.m. when they noticed the blaze. At the time, the elderly man was thought to be alone in the house.

The entire single-family house was destroyed by the fire in the Groß Nordsee district. When the emergency teams arrived, the building was already fully ablaze. The cause of the fire is still being investigated by authorities. Apparently, it caused approximately 250,000 euros worth of damage.
