Preparation - Bochum starts training camp
Football-Bundesligist VfL Bochum has moved into its training camp in South Tyrol. With 26 field players and four goalkeepers, trainer Peter Zeidler reached the quarters in Gais in the holiday region Bruneck, where the club will continue to prepare for the season until 4th August.
Besides goalkeeper Hugo Roelleke, the two youth players Alessandro Crimaldi and Kacper Koscierski are also there. The 16- and 17-year-olds are among the promising talents in the club and belong to the youngest players who have ever been able to train with the VfL professionals.
On the schedule are three test matches. On Tuesday evening (18.00 Uhr), the Bochum team first faces Italian Second League team Spezia Calcio in Brixen. In a mini-tournament on 3rd August, further games against Second League team FC South Tyrol and Serie A club FC Bologna are planned. The games are played twice for 30 minutes each.
The first mandatory game for the Bochum team is against Second League side Jahn Regensburg in the DFB-Pokal on 18th August.
