The police in Bochum have expressed unusual emotion over an incident. After finding three young kittens left in a cardboard box sealed with duct tape in the blazing sun, the press office expressed their disbelief. "We could discuss the whys and wherefores, but frankly, we can't comprehend such cruelty!" the statement read.

The kittens were exposed to temperatures exceeding 30°C. Officers on the scene quickly provided water to the dehydrated and frightened kittens and handed them over to animal protection services. The police are now appealing for witnesses and information about the owner.

The act of leaving the kittens in such harsh conditions can be classified as a form of animal cruelty, a type of crime. The police are actively investigating this case of crime and are seeking any relevant information.
