- Bochum has finalized the recruitment of defender Medić.

VFL Bochum has secured additional strength for their defense. The Bundesliga football team announced their latest signing mere days before the transfer window closed, bringing in 25-year-old central defender Jakov Medic on a one-year loan from Ajax Amsterdam, with a buyout option included.

Hailing from Croatia, Medic has honed his skills in German football, playing in 73 second-division and 36 third-division matches for teams like Nuremberg, Wiesbaden, and FC St. Pauli. After making the switch to Ajax Amsterdam in the summer of 2023, he made six appearances in the Eredivisie, featured once in the Europa League, and played twice during the qualifying rounds that preceded it.

With his experience in German football, Jakov Medic's addition to VFL Bochum's defense is expected to strengthen their performances in the German Bundesliga. His loan move from Ajax Amsterdam promises potential for long-term collaboration, given the buyout option included in the agreement.
