VfL Bochum has signed its eighth new player for the upcoming season. As announced by the Bundesliga football club, offensive player Aliou Baldé will join on loan from OGC Nice for one year. The 21-year-old represented Guinea at the Olympic Games in Paris. The loan deal includes an option for the VfL to buy him afterwards.

"Aliou is a creative offensive player who can create decisive situations with his extraordinary explosiveness, speed, and strong one-on-one play," said VfL's sporting director Marc Lettau. The day before, Bochum had already signed a reinforcement for the attack, Myron Boadu, who will also join on loan for one year from AS Monaco. In this case as well, the VfL has an option to buy.

The new signing, Myron Boadu, will also strengthen Bochum's attack on loan from AS Monaco, similar to Aliou Baldé from OGC Nice. The Football league's VfL Bochum now has two creative offensive players who can potentially secure their places in the team's Football league campaign.
