Multisport race involving swimming, cycling, and running - Bleymehl ends up in third place at Ironman European Championship in Hamburg.

Jackie Hering emerged victorious in the Ironman race held in Hamburg on Sunday. Swimming 3.8 kilometers, cycling 178 kilometers, and running 42.195 kilometers, the 38-year-old American Woman crossed the finish line at the City Hall Market in 8:19:14 hours, claiming the top spot at the European Championships.

This triumph earned Hering a $28,000 prize and 5,000 points for the new Pro Series ranking. Daniela Bleymehl, a Darmstadt resident, finished the race in 8:28:09 hours, clinching the third place. Katrina Matthews, a favorite to win, was unfortunately disqualified for an illegal overtaking maneuver that occurred roughly 115 kilometers into the cycling course.
