Weather - Black ice and fresh snow in Berlin and Brandenburg

It will remain cold and frosty in Berlin and Brandenburg on Wednesday. Freezing rain will cause black ice into the morning, warns the German Weather Service (DWD).

Between one and four centimetres of fresh snow are possible in the north of Brandenburg and in parts of Berlin. Up to eight centimetres of snow will fall in the Uckermark. Temperatures during the day will be around freezing point with highs between zero and two degrees. It will remain overcast and cloudy throughout the day.

In the night to Thursday there will be localized drizzle or sleet, which will subside as the day progresses. Lows will be between one and minus two degrees. It will be slippery in places.

Thursday will be overcast and cloudy. In some areas there will still be light snow drizzle or drizzle. In the afternoon and evening it will be mostly dry and clear, especially south of Berlin. Temperatures will be around freezing with highs between zero and two degrees.
