A fare evader threatened a train conductor during a ticket check with an air pistol. The 33-year-old attempted to headbutt the 62-year-old during the train journey from Herborn to Gießen, the Federal Police reported. He then allegedly pulled out a firearm from a bag and threatened the conductor.

The 33-year-old was arrested on Wednesday on a train operated by the Hessian State Railway (HLB) in Wetzlar. The weapon was later identified as an air pistol, for which he did not have a permit. The 33-year-old is already known to the police. He is said to have threatened a person at a shopping center in Wetzlar multiple times with his weapon.

During the confrontation, the 33-year-old brandished several weapons, including an air pistol and a alleged firearm. Subsequently, the police discovered that he had been using the weapon to intimidate individuals at a local shopping center.
