Bitterfeld loses guest match in Berlin in three sets
VC Bitterfeld-Wolfen paid the price in front of 3571 spectators in the Max-Schmeling-Halle. The Bundesliga newcomers lost their guest game at Berlin Recycling Volleys on Wednesday after just 65 minutes in three sets by 12:25, 22:25 and 13:25. The hosts took over the top of the table in the Volleyball Bundesliga again with their fifth success in the fifth game.
After clearly losing the first set, the underdogs were only able to keep up with the Berliners in the second set, keeping pace until 15:16, but were unable to put the favorites under pressure. The Bitterfeld team was no match for the powerful attacking play of the home side. Timothée Carle was honored as the most valuable player.
Despite the valiant effort in the second set, men's team VC Bitterfeld-Wolfen struggled against the dominant Bundesliga champions Berlin Recycling Volleys. Unfortunately, they couldn't repeate their performance in the second set in the subsequent sets, as they failed to make an impact in the 'Men's Volleyball Bundesliga.'
