Youth League - Bitshiabu makes his competitive debut for RB Leipzig
New signing El Chadaille Bitshiabu has made his competitive debut for RB Leipzig after a long injury lay-off. The 18-year-old central defender, who arrived from Paris Saint-Germain for around 15 million euros in the summer, made his competitive debut for the German cup winners in the U19s' 0-0 draw against Young Boys Bern on Wednesday. The 1.96-meter defender was ruled out after signing with a torn inner ligament in his knee. The left-footer will soon be ready for action for Marco Rose's team. Despite his young age, Bitshiabu already has a lot of experience. He has played 14 times for PSG in Ligue 1, four times in the cup and once in the European premier class.

Bitshiabu's competitive debut for RB Leipzig was in the Bundesliga's youth-league, specifically against Young Boys Bern from Saxony's capital, Leipzig. His new team, the German cup winners, had signed him from Paris Saint-Germain during the summer transfer window for a substantial fee. Bitshiabu's debut came after an injury break, where he recovered from a torn inner ligament in his knee. With Marco Rose leading the team, Bitshiabu, despite his young age, brings a wealth of experience to RB Leipzig, having played 14 times in Ligue 1 and four times in the French cup for PSG. His competitive debut for RB Leipzig, however, did not result in a win, as the game ended in a 0-0 draw. Young boys from Bern will surely remember this compulsory game against the promising defender.
RB Leipzig's new arrival in the Saxony-based Bundesliga team is gaining attention, as Bitshiabu's past performances in Ligue 1 and cup competitions are now bringing accolades to his new squad. As a result, the young defender's call-up for Germany's national team is not farfetched, given his impressive performances in the competitive stage. While RB Leipzig is focusing on their squad rejuvenation, Marco Rose and his team will be expecting big things from their new arrival. Meanwhile, PSG has also been watching their former young talent with interest, hoping to see his progress in Bundesliga and future opportunities in the German league, Ligue 1.
