Animals - Bitch travels on train from Detmold to Bielefeld without owner

After a train journey of over 30 kilometers without her owner, a dog has ended up at Bielefeld Central Station. Because the federal police discovered the owner's telephone number in her collar, the 13-month-old mixed-breed dog Liva and her owner were reunited on Thursday, as the police announced on Friday. A train passenger had taken the animal into his care on the train journey. He had made a leash from the straps of his briefcase and then brought the animal to the police station. The dog then had to spend an hour in police custody in Bielefeld before the 42-year-old owner arrived by cab from Detmold.

According to his description, the young dog is still very playful and curious. She had followed a cyclist on a walk in the morning. He had presumably boarded the train to Bielefeld in Detmold - followed by Liva.
