A large group of individuals joined a bike ride pilgrimage on Sunday. The pilgrimage location was in Maria in der Wiese, Germershausen, Eichsfeld, close to Göttingen. During a May devotion, Provost Thomas Berkefeld blessed the bicycles. Some participants even added a bike tour to their pilgrimage experience.
Later, the Eichsfeld pilgrimage group welcomed the participants with a gathering. This annual event has been taking place at its current location on the pilgrimage meadow. The meadow is also home to a church that displays the "Image of Grace." According to the group, pilgrimages have been occurring here for more than 340 years. Annually, over 10,000 pilgrims visit this site. In addition to bike pilgrimages, motorcycle pilgrimages are also available.
