- Biker encountering severe injuries following collision with vehicle

A biker got hit hard and severely hurt by a booze-fueled motorist close to Babenhausen (Babenhausen district, Darmstadt-Dieburg region). Preliminary probes indicate that the 37-year-old chauffeur, presumably, didn't spot the 69-year-old biker who was cycling on the right side of the federal road ahead of him. The wounded cyclist was hauled off to a medical facility by an ambulance and their condition isn't deemed critical.

As per the law enforcers, the collision sent the biker flying into the windshield and then over the vehicle before they eventually landed in the right-side ditch. The driver's license of the 37-year-old was seized, and they'll have to respond to allegations of impaired driving and puting other road users at risk. Two helicopters also showed up at the incident site.

The collision with the intoxicated driver resulted in a serious accident for the 69-year-old biker. Due to the impact, the biker was flung onto the vehicle's windshield and then onto the right-side ditch.
