In Lower Bavaria, a cyclist crashed due to a dog on the road. The 56-year-old man sustained severe head and upper-body injuries, according to police reports from Friday. An investigation is underway to determine if the dog's owner could face charges for negligently causing harm.

A bicyclist was traveling through Windorf, Landkreis Passau, on a Thursday when he encountered an incident. A dog tethered on a terrace spotted the man and broke loose, charging onto the road. In an attempt to avoid the dog, the cyclist had to apply the brakes hard, which caused him to fall. Fortunately, there was no collision with the animal. The man, aged 56, sustained injuries and was transported to the hospital.
