Beverage manufacturer recalls iso drink
The drinks manufacturer Wittenseer Quelle Mineralbrunnen has recalled a batch of its Wittenseer IsoSport Vital Lemon-Cherry drink. Consumption is strongly advised against, the company warned in a statement published on Monday on the portal lebensmittelwarnung.de. A microbiological deviation has been detected in 0.7-liter returnable bottles, which may be indicated by the formation of mould on the surface of the drink or a noticeably different smell.
A batch with a best-before date of 7.9.2024 is affected. Customers can return the product to the respective store and receive a refund, even without presenting the receipt. The food warning affects five federal states: Bremen, Hamburg, North Rhine-Westphalia, Saxony-Anhalt and Schleswig-Holstein.
Consumers in the affected states should avoid consuming the recalled Wittenseer IsoSport Vital Lemon-Cherry drink due to the microbiological deviation. The company's warning also applies to consumers who have purchased the drink as it may contain mould or have an unusual smell.
