Senate - Berlin Senate to present new law on green spaces

Berlin's numerous parks and green spaces are to become better maintained, cleaner and safer. To this end, the Senate intends to adopt a draft for a new law on green spaces on Tuesday (1 pm). According to the Senate Chancellery, the law is intended to create more legal certainty as to who is responsible for which tasks in the parks. There are also to be clearer rules on how, for example, the illegal dumping of garbage or the destruction of trees or flower beds can be sanctioned. The new law will also serve as the legal basis for the fence planned by the Senate around Görlitzer Park in Kreuzberg.
