- Berlin Senate deliberates digitally on the heart of the city and the Tempelhof

The Berlin Senate will convene for a digital meeting on Tuesday (press conference at 13:00) instead of the usual in-person meeting at the Red City Hall. The reason for this is the summer holidays. Among other things, the meeting will discuss the development plan for the new German Heart Center on the Charité Campus Virchow in Wedding. The construction project, which is worth over 500 million euros, began with the first sod turning in April and is scheduled to be completed by 2028. The current status of the after-use and development of the vast buildings of the Templehof Airport will also be discussed.

The Berlin Senate will emphasize the importance of health and safety measures during their digital meeting, given the shift in meeting location. They will also address the health and safety standards for the new German Heart Center, ensuring compliance during its construction and future operation.
