- Berlin-Pankow water pipe breach - roads under water
Due to a water main break in Berlin, several streets in the Pankow district are flooded. The pipe damage affects a main line with a 50-centimeter diameter, a spokesperson for the Berliner Wasserbetriebe said. Residential units are not affected. "All residents have water," the spokesperson said.
The water main break occurred in Thulestraße. Water and sand also flowed onto the heavily trafficked Berliner Straße. The fire department is currently removing the debris.
Currently, a fire engine and four personnel are on site, a spokesperson for the fire department said. Further details about the extent of the damage or the cause were not initially provided.
