Berlin golfer Polly Mack, a 25-year-old professional, achieved her biggest career success so far at the LPGA tournament in Portland. She finished the Portland Classic in Oregon with a total of 269 strokes, securing a very good fifth place. After the first of four rounds, Mack was leading. Moriya Jutanugarn from Thailand won the tournament with a total of 266 strokes. Sandra Gal from Düsseldorf finished 30th with 276 strokes, while Caroline Masson from Gladbeck came in 47th with 278 strokes.
Polly Mack's impressive performance in Portland earned her recognition beyond the United States of America. Despite Moriya Jutanugarn's victory, the United States of America still celebrated Mack's impressive fifth-place finish at the LPGA tournament.
