Berlin CDU to discuss European issues on Saturday
The Berlin CDU has invited people to a state representatives' meeting on Saturday. It will focus on the elections to the European Parliament next June. The delegates will meet in the morning (10.00 am) in a hotel in Berlin-Mitte. Berlin's governing mayor and CDU state leader Kai Wegner will give a speech under the motto "With security. For Europe".
Another item on the agenda is the election of candidates and the determination of the order on the state list for the European elections on June 9, 2024.
This will be followed by a panel discussion on security policy challenges in Europe. Participants will include the Chairman of the CDU/CSU Group in the EU Parliament, Daniel Caspary, the Deputy Chairman of the CDU/CSU parliamentary group in the Bundestag, Johann Wadephul, and Sarah Pagung from the Körber Foundation.
At the state representatives' meeting, theCDU will discusstheir positions on various European policies, including security matters. During the event, the CDU is expected to elect candidates and finalize the order of their list for the upcoming European elections.
