Air traffic - BER expects 950,000 passengers over the Christmas period

Berlin Brandenburg Airport is expecting 950,000 passengers to take off from or land at BER between December 22 and January 7. "The busiest travel day is expected to be 22 December with just under 73,000 passengers," the airport announced on Wednesday. In addition to major European cities, destinations in Turkey and the Canary Islands are also in demand during this period. Winter trips to Tromsø in Norway, Innsbruck in Austria or Rovaniemi in Finland are also very popular.
