European Soccer Tournament - Belgium supports Casteels as the routine goalkeeper during the European Championships.

Koen Casteels is set to be the goalkeeper for the Belgian national team at the upcoming European Championship, announced coach Domenico Tedesco on Friday. He will be playing in both games against Luxembourg and throughout the entire tournament, the 38-year-old former Bundesliga coach revealed. The decision to choose Casteels over his competitors Matz Sels and Thomas Kaminski seems to have come down to minor details.

Currently, Casteels is contracted to German club VfL Wolfsburg until the end of June. Reports suggest that the 31-year-old is considering a move to Al-Qadsiah FC in Saudi Arabia.

For the group stage, Belgium will be facing Slovakia, Romania, and Ukraine. Tedesco also added that he intends to bring a group of 25 players to the tournament in Germany.
