- Belgian footballer Vranckx extended his agreement with Wolfsburg
VFL Wolfsburg has surprisingly kept Belgian footballer Aster Vranckx on their roster. The 21-year-old, who was once rumored to be heading out during the summer, is now tied to Wolfsburg past 2025, as per Lower Saxony's claims. Sporting director Sebastian Schindzielorz has faith in Vranckx, stating that "there's still plenty of untapped potential in him."
Vranckx signed with Wolfsburg in 2021. For a span between fall 2022 and summer 2023, the midfielder was loaned out to AC Milan. Lately, Vranckx had been linked with AC Florence, Lazio Rome, and Aston Villa. However, the contract extension will prevent Wolfsburg from losing Vranckx for free next year.
Despite speculations of Aster Vranckx moving to various European clubs like AC Florence, Lazio Rome, and Aston Villa, his contract with VFL Wolfsburg has been extended, keeping him at the German club until 2025 and beyond. The extended deal also means that Vranckx won't be transferring to another team for free next year, as per German football regulations.
