Borussia Dortmund forward Niclas Füllkrug's move to England appears imminent. The 31-year-old striker has been granted permission to speak with another club, the Bundesliga side announced. Füllkrug departed the training camp in Bad Ragaz on Saturday morning.

Media reports suggest Füllkrug is set to join West Ham United in the Premier League. The London club and Borussia Dortmund are said to have reached an agreement, according to Sky on Friday evening. The transfer fee is reported to be around €30 million. Previously, Atlético Madrid and AC Milan were also mentioned as interested parties.

"The transfer isn't confirmed yet, but Niclas was an important player for us. He had some really strong moments in Dortmund... He's someone who can always help a team. I'm really happy for him," said current teammate Gregor Kobel in a Sky interview. "He's getting another big chance to fulfill his dream and play in the Premier League. If everything goes through and he's officially there, I wish him all the best and hope he does well!"

New Borussia Dortmund coach Nuri Sahin had initially indicated that Füllkrug would play a central role in his plans. However, Dortmund also signed Serhou Guirassy from VfB Stuttgart this summer, who plays in the same position as Füllkrug.

Füllkrug joined Dortmund from Werder Bremen last summer and signed a contract until June 30, 2026. Last season, Füllkrug reached the Champions League final with Dortmund, scoring 12 goals in 29 Bundesliga games.

In light of the potential move, there might be some changes in the German Bundesliga's attack line with Niclas Füllkrug potentially departing.Regardless of where he ends up, fans of the German Bundesliga will look forward to watching Füllkrug's performances in his new English club.
