Traffic - Before Christmas: Traffic jams expected in Berlin and Brandenburg
Drivers can expect heavy traffic on Berlin and Brandenburg's roads before Christmas. Especially in the greater Berlin area as well as on the Autobahn 2, A9 and A24, many traffic jams are to be expected, the ADAC announced on Monday. Most traffic jams are expected on Friday afternoon and also on Saturday morning, it added.
The busy days start as early as the middle of the week, as the first federal states start their Christmas vacations. However, many travelers only set off for their families on Friday or Saturday. Christmas Eve and Christmas Day are generally quiet on the highways. Return traffic then starts on Boxing Day, but increasingly only after the holidays.
