Bundesliga - Bayern's Musiala back against Frankfurt - "Not 90 minutes"

Jamal Musiala is back at FC Bayern Munich after his muscle injury. "If nothing happens, Jamal will be in the squad. He certainly won't play 90 minutes. We will decide whether he starts or finishes the game for us," said coach Thomas Tuchel the day before Saturday's game (3.30pm/Sky) at Eintracht Frankfurt. The injured Matthijs de Ligt and Bouna Sarr will not be involved. Tuchel said that everyone else would be involved.

For Musiala, it is his comeback after a month out. The attacking midfielder had not only been missed at FC Bayern, but especially in the national team game. Without the super dribbler, the DFB team lost to Turkey and Austria in November. The postponement of the Munich match against 1. FC Union Berlin gave the 20-year-old more time to get fit for the competition in training.

"I don't know exactly whether that was a curse or a blessing, very unusual," said Tuchel about the enforced break. "We wanted to go one better against Union, we were actually ready. The task was to keep the tension high."

With a win, Munich would take over at the top of the Bundesliga table at least until Sunday. Bayer Leverkusen can then take over first place in the table again with a draw at VfB Stuttgart. "Two very strong teams, very clear teams in their style. Very clean, very clear in their processes, very stable, at a very high level," said Tuchel, who definitely wants to watch the game on Sunday (3.30 pm/DAZN). "Both teams absolutely deserve to be where they are at the moment. It will definitely be a very interesting game."

Munich host VfB Stuttgart on the third day of Advent. Leverkusen lead the table with 35 points ahead of Munich (32) and Stuttgart (30). FC Bayern have played one game less due to the loss of the Union match. The match will be made up on January 24.
