German Football League - Bayern women's football club has acquired goalkeeper Mahmutovic.
FC Bayern has signed a new goalkeeper, Ena Mahmutovic. The 20-year-old is coming from MSV Duisburg, which recently got relegated. The German football champs in Munich welcomed her with a three-year contract that will last until June 2027. Last year, Mahmutovic was nominated for the German national team but has yet to make her debut in the DFB jersey. Unfortunately for her, Duisburg's first team of women was dissolved this week after finishing at the bottom of the table.
Bianca Rech, the department head of FC Bayern Women, praised Mahmutovic: "She's a young German goalkeeper with a lot of potential. Mahmutovic shows tremendous self-confidence on the field for her age, and we've had our eye on her for some time." The keeper expressed her excitement about joining the club, saying: "I'm incredibly thrilled to be a part of this great club."
