European Football Championship - Bayern or ÖFB? Laimer happy about Rangnick's decision
Bayern Munchen's Midfielder Konrad Laimer waited calmly on the decision of his national trainer Ralf Rangnick between a transfer to the German record champion or staying in Austria. "I was completely relaxed when all the rumors came up," said Laimer in Berlin.
"In general, it was a win-win situation for me, and I'm of course very happy that he decided for the ÖFB," said the 27-year-old, who already played under Rangnick during his time at RB Leipzig.
He was looking forward to "the fact that he simply stays here now, because we started this way together, which is definitely not over yet and we want to continue it." The ÖFB team meets Turkey in the EM round of 16 at Leipzig on Tuesday (9 p.m./MagentaTV).
