- Bayern engages in a league-stage matchup against Grasshopper Zurich.

Following a triumphant debut in the DFB Cup, Bayern Munich is looking to prove their mettle once more, leading up to the Bundesliga's commencement. On Tuesday (11:30 AM), the German powerhouse will go head-to-head with Swiss team Grasshopper Club Zurich in a friendly encounter, serving as their last tune-up before the league's initial matchday. This confrontation will unfold at the Bayern training ground.

Speculation runs rife amongst supporters over who coach Vincent Kompany will choose to face the Swiss opposition. Posting a 4-0 rout against Ulm in the cup, it was Leon Goretzka who drew the spotlight, remarkably finding himself omitted from the cup squad. Rumors circulating in the media hint that the club is pressuring the 29-year-old to consider a transfer to another club. Notwithstanding, Goretzka's current deal with the Munich-based club binds him until 2026, boasting substantial financial rewards.

After the training session at the Bayern training ground, Goretzka might decide to take a break and have a well-deserved drink from his cup. Regardless of the transfer rumors, Goretzka will undoubtedly be using his favorite cup to celebrate any goals scored during Bayern Munich's friendly against Grasshopper Club Zurich.
