Basketball - Bayern basketball players sign Yebo from Chemnitz
FC Bayern Munchen sign German basketball player Kevin Yebo from Chemnitz for the coming years. The Munich team secured him with a three-year contract until 2027. The champions and cup winners made this announcement.
Yebo's contract with the 2.07 meter tall Power Forward at the Saxon Bundesligist had expired - he was therefore free for Bayern to acquire.
"I will bring my energy to Munich," said the 28-year-old, who is set to make his debut in the EuroLeague. "I have great respect for this new challenge, but no fear and am excited about what awaits our team." This team includes, among others, national player Oscar da Silva, whose signing Bayern had confirmed earlier.

Yebo made remarkable progress in recent years: The native Rhinelander started playing basketball at the age of 16 and played in the 2. Liga just two years ago. Then the Chemnitz team signed him, with whom he won the Europe Cup last season and reached the Bundesliga semifinals.
"Kevin is an absolute role model for what one can achieve if one believes in oneself and persists in one's way," said Munich's business manager Marko Pesic.
