Bundesliga - Bayern away from home - Leverkusen thriller at the Oktoberfest

The FC Bayern Munchen begins the new Bundesliga season with an away game against VfL Wolfsburg and looks forward to a top match against Meister Bayer Leverkusen in October, as announced by the German Football League (DFL) during the presentation of the schedule for 2024/25. The Leverkusen team, which dethroned Munich as champions after their previous 11 titles, will be hosting them at the end of September and right in the midst of Oktoberfest in the Bavarian state capital.

The Bayern team kicks off their campaign on August 24/25 with an away game in Wolfsburg, followed by their first home game under new coach Vincent Kompany against SC Freiburg on August 31. The Bavarian Derby against FC Augsburg takes place in the Allianz Arena between November 22 and 24, with the Klassiker against Borussia Dortmund following just a week later. The season ends for Bayern on May 17 with an away game at TSG 1899 Hoffenheim.

Franken Derbies in October and March

The Augsburg team starts the season with a home game against Werder Bremen. Three of their first four league matches will take place in the WWK Arena, including against promotion side FC St. Pauli (September 13-15) and a week later against FSV Mainz 05. The 34th and last game of the season sees the FCA hosting 1. FC Union Berlin.

The 1. FC Nuernberg's 2. Bundesliga campaign starts at home against Karlsruher SC on the first August weekend, followed by an away game against FC Schalke 04. The Franken Derbies against SpVgg Greuther Fürth are scheduled for the 9th game day (October 18-20) in Fürth and the 26th game day (March 14-16) in Nürnberg. The first opponent for Fürth in the league is promotion side Preußen Münster.

For Jahn Regensburg, their return to German football's second tier starts with an away game in Berlin against Hertha BSC on the 2nd game day, followed by a home game against Greuther Fürth.

The Bundesliga schedule for 2024/25 includes an away game for FC Bayern Munich at VfL Wolfsburg, marking their opening fixture. The Bavarian giants are also anticipating a challenging encounter against reigning champions Bayer 04 Leverkusen in October. This match is planned towards the end of September, coinciding with Oktoberfest in Munich.

Following the Wolfsburg encounter, Bayern will embark on their first home game under Vincent Kompany, facing SC Freiburg on August 31. Their rivalry with FC Augsburg, commonly known as the Bavarian Derby, is scheduled between November 22 and 24 in the Allianz Arena.

Meanwhile, Bayer 04 Leverkusen hosts FC Bayern Munich as part of their Bundesliga run, with this intense match taking place in Leverkusen at the end of September. VfL Wolfsburg, on the other hand, has an away game against SpVgg Greuther Fürth scheduled for March.

The DFL announced that the Franken Derbies between 1. FC Nuremberg and SpVgg Greuther Fürth will be held on the 9th game day in Fürth and the 26th game day in Nuremberg. The Augsburg team will start their season with a home game against Werder Bremen, followed by aFCA eventually hosting 1. FC Union Berlin for their final league match.

Furthermore, the 1. FC Nuremberg's Bundesliga 2 campaign begins with a home match against Karlsruher SC. The Nuernberg-Greuther Fürth Franken Derbies are set to take place on October 18-20 in Fürth and on March 14-16 in Nuernberg.
