Bundesliga: Germany's Premier Football League - Bayer Leverkusen initiate early preseason training in July.
Bayer Leverkusen, last season's Bundesliga champion and cup winner, starts preparing for the upcoming league campaign on July 14th. Their first test match is scheduled for July 26th against Rot-Weiss Essen from the third division. From July 28th to August 2nd, the team will head to the training camp in Donaueschingen. Here, they'll be joining the Spanish national team, who will also be in town for the European Championship. As defending champions, Bayer will play the season opener on August 23rd, and before that, they'll be facing off against VfB Stuttgart for the DFL-Supercup on August 17th.
